It starts with a DREAM….

HOPES & DREAMS Program

New this session at Precision Gymnastics is our ‘DREAMS’ Program.

Has your daughter ever dreamed of competing in gymnastics? Our DREAMS Program is an add on class (must register in a regular class) that will give her that opportunity.

Girls (sorry boys) will participate in their regular gymnastics class each week and this will be an additional training with the purpose of learning and mastering the JO 1 compulsory routines on each event. November 24th she will compete in a competition called the Winter Warm Up hosted here at Precision Gymnastics.  There will also be a Snowflake Spectacular on Dec. 6 here at Precision Gymnastics.

This program will follow our regular class sessions: fall, winter & spring.

The mandatory-prerequisites for this program are a pullover on bars, handstand, cartwheel and backward roll on floor (must be approved by Nancy). Included in the fee for this add on class is the registration fee for the competition.  It will also be optional to purchase a team bodysuit as well.

The HOPES Program will also be available this season. This developmental program will allow girls to train 2 days for 2 hours (4 hours a week) or 3 days for 2 hours (6 hours a week) and continue to pursue the JO Program. This program is a 10 month program (September to June). Please contact us for specific details.

The Junior Olympic Program consists of 10 levels. Levels 1-5 are compulsory routines (Gymnasts have set routines on each event) and Levels 6-10 are the Optional Levels with progressive requirements and skill level.  JO 9 & 10 gymnasts vie to compete on the Alberta Team at National Championships. JO 8, 9 & 10 vie to represent Alberta at Western Canadian Championships. JO 6 & 7 gymnasts can represent their zones at Alberta Winter Games. There are Provincial Championships for Levels 3-10.
